Simone Rocha’s Beaded Crowns

Simone Rocha played a huge part in making the humble hair slide so covetable and this season, she has upgraded her beaded hair clips for sparkling tiaras.

The designer referenced Louise Bourgeois, quoting the artist in her notes, and adorning some of the models’ heads with a version of the curving black crown that Bourgeois was often pictured in.

These pretty crowns paired with the soft, swept back waves give us the feel of princess vibes. Delicate, pretty and extremely beautiful, they came in unconventional shapes and colors (black, triangular, pearl, round and organic) with an added hint of punk. And the crowns are the best way to hide any pesky flyaways.

Cloud Colour at Mary Katrantzou

Colour mastermind and Redken Global Colour Creative Director Josh Wood was behind the mystical-meets-grunge hair colour at Mary Katrantzou shows. The collection was a cacophony of ombre ruffles inspired by the four elements: water, earth, wind and fire, and the hair reflected just that.

“We used our hands to blend the intense colours together, to create a ‘colour cloud’ effect on the hair”, Josh revealed backstage. “Mary wanted me to create a pattern for the hair, more than a colour, so we took fabrics from the collection and used nine Redken City Beats hair dye shades to recreate them.” The delightful color palette included dyes in shades of seafoam, morning dew, sky blue, cracked earth, sunset coral and pink.

The pastel hair combines two different designs hair extensions that Josh named ‘color clouds’’and ‘horizon color’.

Intricate Details At Burberry

We love how detailed they went with this look at Burberry. Hairstylist Guido Palau deftly created an elaborate gelled hairstyle that involved fixing looping strands to the face in an intricate and mesmerizing pattern. He twisted small sections of hair into place and lacquering them with hairspray to form the delicate shape.

Huge Hair At Ashish

The hairstyle was inspired by supermodels of the 60s like Verushka and Jean Shrimpton but at London Fashion Week, the hair was taken sky high to reflect the crazy vibe of the Ashish collection. Hair stylist Sam McKnight used long wigs that were backcombed and accessorised with diamante clips to create these looks.

Sleek And Glossy At JW Anderson

The hair was likewise shellacked in gel, pulled back in tight low buns and sculpted in fringe-like formations. The effect was futuristic and retro at the same time, nodding to the finger waves of 1920s and ’30s—though lead stylist Anthony Turner says the inspiration for his helmet ‘dos came from LEGO characters, not silver screen sirens. Turner created the look by combing the hair into place and then using clips to hold the section while it dried.

Double braids

You don’t need any complicated hairstyle to stand out at London Fashion Week street wear. Look at this dark haired beauty, she is still stunning in the leather jacket and double braids hairstyle. You can get this look by doing Dutch braid, then switch to fishtail style. Simple but cool!

Hair tuck

Look so simple right? We wonder why we haven’t done this clever hair hack. The hair tuck is perfect for the winter time when we are covering ourselves with chunky knitwear and big coats.

Headbands are very convenient accessories, you can spot them from the runway to the high street. With headbands, you can have whatever vibe you want, from cool vibe to girly vibe, there is no limit in creation with headbands. As their convenience, we get no surprised when they became the trend at London Fashion Week.

You can look for bold hues and satin fabrics and wear yours with unpolished styles like a messy updo or air-dried hair.

Half-up bun

Another simple but cool hairstyle appeared at London Fashion Week 2019. It is often our go-to style when we are rushing out of the door or half-way through a workday and now it can also be a hairstyle for you to go to London Fashion Week. This no-skill-needed hairstyle works on those with bob length tresses to long Rapunzel manes, so what are you waiting for, let’s make your street wear cooler by this hairstyle.

Instead of getting your hair done with the above hairstyles, you can boost the volume and the length of your hair by hair extensions to stand out on the street or even on London Fashion Week. APO Hair is ready to satisfy you. Whether your hair is short or long, you still can be great with APO Hair extensions.
